Keep Northampton's Post Offices open

The Labour Government has announced plans to close 8 Post Offices in Northampton. Conservatives are opposed to these closures are fighting hard against the proposals.

The post offices on Booth Lane North in Boothville, Broadmead Avenue in Abington, Kingsley Road in Queens Park, Brookside Centre on Billingbrook Road in Lumbertubs, Gloucester Avenue in Delapre, High Street in Great Doddington, Campbell Street in Regent Square and on the High Street in Weston Favell are all under threat.

On Monday 19th November, Conservatives on Northampton Borough Council will propose a motion recognising "the unique and essential service to many communities within the borough and support their efforts to remain open". The Conservatives have called on Labour and Lib Dem councillors to back their campaign at the vote in full council on Monday.

The Chronicle & Echo has also launched a campaign to save the post offices in Northampton. Conservatives fully support this campaign.

Conservatives have also launched a national petition to stop Post Office closures. You can sign this petition by clicking here.
