Conservatives at The Guildhall have called for the Lib Dems to come clean following reports that secret papers suggest as many as 100 jobs could be lost at Northampton Borough Council as the budget looms and the Lib Dem administration struggle to balance their books.

Leader of the Conservative Group, Cllr David Palethorpe said "This was clearly a secret the Liberal Democrats didn't want the public to know, and by withholding these figures they've treated council staff and taxpayers with the utmost contempt."
