Northamptonshire County Councillors will take over a stall on Northampton's Market Square on Wednesday 10th March in the latest stage of the County Council's You Choose campaign.
The public consultation aims to find out residents' views on how the County Council can save £100 million by 2014.
The Leader of the Conservative administration on the County Council, Cllr. Jim Harker said, "This is a perfect opportunity for us to talk to people in their own environment about what services affect and shape their lives.
"By choosing the market, we are hoping to discuss issues of value and budget in ways that are meaningful to them, for example our libraries service costs each resident the same as four bunches of grapes each year.
"I'll be there, on the market stall, between 11am and midday on Wednesday, ready to try to answer questions from the public on a one-to-one basis."
Members of the public can also give their views online at www.youchoose.northamptonshire.gov.uk.
