Northampton Conservatives are delighted to announce that Luke Graystone was successfully elected as the Northampton Borough councillor for Nene Valley in the By-election on the 28th September. Luke ran an excellent Campaign and was able to increase the Conservative vote share in the ward. We know he will be an excellent and hardworking Councillor.
Newly elected Luke Graystone said- ““I’m delighted to have been elected as Michael Hill’s successor in Nene Valley Ward on Northampton Borough Council. Thank you so much to all those who supported me over the course of the campaign, and I look forward to getting to work on the priorities of all Nene Valley residents on Northampton Borough Council!”
Leader of the Council Jonathan Nunn Said- "We're so pleased to welcome Luke to the Conservative group on NBC. Having worked with him for a number of years on the campaigns that have been important to local people, we know that he understands the issues that are important to them. The commitment he has shown in getting out there to meet so many local residents, along with the knowledge that he brings, will make him a real asset to the residents of the Nene Valley ward, and to our work to drive the town forward.
After twenty years' service as a Councillor, to Nene Valley and across so many aspects of the life of the town, Michael Hill will be a tough act to follow, but we couldn't ask for anybody better than Luke. Welcome to the team Luke!"
We also would like to thank Pauline Woodhouse for her hard work and campaigning in the Eastfield By-election, who came 2nd in the result.
