Tories celebrate landslide win in Borough Elections

David Palethorpe’s Conservatives take overall control of the Guildhall after their landslide victory in the Borough Elections and will now be tasked with running the town for the next four years. The Conservatives won 26 seats, compared to 15 for Labour and just four for previous incumbents of the Guildhall, the Liberal Democrats, who suffered a nightmare evening with a number of high-profile defeats.
