Northampton South Association Officers

Following the Annual General Meeting on 14 August 2026, members of Northampton South Conservative Association elected the officer team who will lead the Association for the year ahead. Together, the officers are responsible for the day-to-day running of the Association, supporting our members, councillors and candidates, and ensuring we have the organisation and resources needed to campaign effectively across Northampton South.

Chairman - Adam Brown

Adam Brown is Chairman of Northampton South Conservative Association and has been involved in Conservative politics and campaigning for many years.

He has served as a councillor at district, county and unitary level, and held a number of senior positions during his time in local government. Most recently, Adam served as Deputy Leader and then Leader of West Northamptonshire Council.

That experience has given him a good understanding of what it takes to organise and fight elections, as well as the importance of having strong candidates, active members and a well-run local Association.

As Chairman, Adam works with the Association's officers, councillors, candidates and members to support the Conservative team in Northampton South and make sure the Association is in the best possible position for the elections ahead.

Deputy Chairman (Political) - Daniel Soan

Daniel Soan is Deputy Chairman (Political) of Northampton South Conservative Association, with responsibility for helping to coordinate political campaigning across the constituency.

An active Conservative campaigner, Daniel has worked alongside councillors, candidates, officers, members and volunteers on campaigns across Northampton South. He has a particular interest in making sure the Association is organised throughout the year, rather than simply becoming active when an election is called.

As Deputy Chairman, Daniel's focus is on three areas: finding and supporting good local candidates, improving voter identification through regular doorstep campaigning, and making sure election planning starts well before polling day.

He believes that good campaigns come down to preparation, teamwork and doing the basics consistently. His aim is to make it easier for members to get involved, give candidates the support they need and ensure Northampton South is ready to fight every election as effectively as possible.

Deputy Chairman (Membership & Fundraising) - Taylor Cowley-Coulton

Taylor Cowley-Coulton is Deputy Chairman (Membership & Fundraising) of Northampton South Conservative Association and a Conservative councillor on Northampton Town Council.

Representing Blackthorn & Rectory Farm, Taylor is actively involved in local issues and campaigning across Northampton. As a councillor, he has worked on issues affecting residents and local businesses and serves on the Town Council's Community Services and Environmental Services committees.

Taylor brings hands-on campaigning experience to the Association and understands the importance of having an active membership behind our candidates and councillors.

As Deputy Chairman (Membership & Fundraising), Taylor works to welcome new members, keep existing members involved in the life of the Association and support the fundraising needed to maintain an active and effective local Conservative organisation.

Treasurer - Stephen Hibbert

Stephen Hibbert is Treasurer of Northampton South Conservative Association and a long-standing Conservative councillor in Northampton.

Stephen represents Weston Favell & Abington Vale on both West Northamptonshire Council and Northampton Town Council. He has many years of experience in local government, including responsibility for housing at the former Northampton Borough Council, and has taken a particular interest in homelessness, rough sleeping and the wider challenges these can create for individuals and communities.

Before retiring, Stephen worked in the legal profession and has also been involved with residents' associations and local charitable organisations.

As Treasurer, Stephen is responsible for overseeing the Association's finances and works alongside the other officers to ensure we have the resources needed to support our candidates, campaign effectively and remain an active presence across Northampton South.
